# Privacy Policy - Substack Notes Scheduler

Last updated: 2026-01-15

Substack Notes Scheduler respects your privacy. This extension is designed to operate locally in your browser and only processes data required to provide its single purpose: scheduling and publishing Substack Notes on the user’s behalf.

## Information We Collect

The extension does not collect personally identifiable information such as name, email address, physical address, location, financial information, health data, or authentication credentials.

The only data processed by the extension is user-created content and settings required for scheduling, including:

Substack Note text created by the user

Drafts and queued Notes

Scheduled posting times

Posting status and history

Preferred posting time settings

All data is created and controlled by the user.

## How Data Is Used

User data is used solely to:

Save drafts and scheduled Notes locally

Schedule Notes for future publishing

Publish Notes to the user's own Substack account at user-defined times

Display posting history and status within the extension interface

The extension does not analyze, profile, or monitor user behavior outside of these functions.

## Data Storage

All user data is stored locally in the user’s browser using Chrome’s storage APIs.
No user data is stored on servers controlled by the developer.

## Data Sharing

When a user chooses to publish or schedule a Note, the user-created Note content is sent directly to Substack’s servers solely to create a post on the user’s own Substack account while the user is signed in.

The extension does not sell, transfer, or share user data with third parties.
No data is shared for advertising, analytics, or marketing purposes.

## Permissions

The extension requests the following permissions:

Storage: to save Notes, drafts, schedules, and settings locally

Alarms: to trigger scheduled publishing at the correct time

Notifications: to inform the user when a Note is successfully posted or fails to post

Host access to substack.com: to publish Notes on behalf of the user

All permissions are used strictly to support the extension's single stated purpose.

## Remote Code and Tracking

The extension does not download or execute remote code.
It does not use analytics services, tracking technologies, fingerprinting, or cookies.

## User Control

Users can edit or delete drafts, queued Notes, and posting history at any time within the extension.
Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data.

## Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the revised version will be published at the same location and the "Last updated" date will be changed accordingly.
