Hi, I’m Rajanand—a Data Engineer from Bangalore, India with over 13 years of experience building and evolving data platforms. My work spans developing data solutions, migrating SQL Server to PDW, architecting on-prem data warehouses, and developing modern cloud solutions using Azure Databricks and Synapse Analytics.
Along the way, I’ve crafted ETL frameworks with SSIS, designed data models, and delivered business insights through Power BI and Tableau. Recently, I’ve been immersed in Spark, optimizing pipelines with PySpark and Spark SQL to handle large-scale data transformations.
What drives me is breaking down complex tech—whether decoding tough concepts or tuning a critical query—and hitting that ‘aha’ moment when everything clicks. This space is where I share those insights: a mix of notes, deep-dive articles, and resources for fellow data engineers.
When I’m not wrangling data, I’m usually digging into long-form articles on architecture and performance engineering. I’m also building a personal reference library, which I hope others find valuable too. This year, I plan to expand by publishing in-depth technical pieces on Substack.
Thanks for stopping by—feel free to explore, learn, and drop me a note anytime.
